FAQ

Every photographer approaches their process differently so I've outlined a few frequently asked questions to share more details about what it is like working with me. I'm always happy to hop on the phone to chat more specifically about your session, but I hope this resource gives you more insight into what it's like working with me.

How many photos will I get?

I don't guarantee a certain number of photos per session as this structure limits my creativity, but you can expect roughly  1k+ photos for weddings and 250+ photos for an hour session.

When will my album be delivered? How long does it take to edit a gallery?

I guarantee a turnaround time of 4-6 weeks for all session types but I typically average a ~2-3 week turnaround time for hour long sessions and a 4-6 week turnaround time for weddings.

What should I wear to a photo session?

I want you to feel confident and comfortable during your session, so pick something you love! As for color suggestions, I recommend earth tones (greens, tans, blacks, blues, browns, deep yellows). Earth tones allow the subject (aka you!) be the focal point of the photos. Stay away from bright reds, pinks and oranges if you can. Busy patterns can also feel distracting to your photos.

What are the best places for a photography session in Bend, Oregon?

I have a location list for all my booked clients to view and decide where they want their session. If you have a specific place in mind, though, we can absolutely do it at the location of your choice.

How can I print my photos?

After your gallery is delivered, you have the option to print photos directly through PicTime. PicTime is the platform I use to deliver galleries, so you can easily print photos from there. However, your photos are yours so you can choose another platform to print off of if you choose.

Is tipping a photographer required? How much do I tip a photographer?

It is completely up to the client whether or not they choose to tip. If you do choose to tip, 15-20% is standard for regular sessions and 10-15% is standard for weddings.

What if someone in my family gets sick the day of our session?

As a Mama myself, I understand this completely! If someone is sick, we reschedule at no added cost. I don't need you to stress over something you can't control. I will do my best to get you rescheduled while also honoring the schedule of my other bookings.

How do you know when to schedule a newborn session before the baby is born?

For newborn sessions, I book 2 weeks out from the Baby's due date. However, this is really just a "hold date" so that you are booked. I will check in with you and find the best date for you post- birth. I want both you and Baby to feel as comfortable as possible.

What should I know before booking a photographer for my wedding?

I would suggest feeling confident in three areas prior to booking your wedding photographer:

1. Budget alignment- make sure the photographer's pricing aligns with your budget.

2. You like their editing style- review their portfolio and ensure that the photographer's art aligns with the style of photos you want.

3. Personality- out of any wedding vendor, you will spend the most time with your photographer so make sure they make you feel comfortable, supported, and are a value add to your day.
